The Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR), a UN-affiliated organization, needed a professionally designed 2022 Annual Report to showcase its progress in marine conservation, funding outcomes, and global partnerships.
Worked as a remote design intern for the Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR), under the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF)
The 2022 Annual Report was a key communication piece to present GFCR’s progress, partnerships, and funding impact to global stakeholders
Based in New York, collaborated across time zones with the core communications team in Geneva, Switzerland
GFCR had an established brand system, but each year’s report required reinterpreting the structure and layout from scratch

I was responsible for translating a dense, information-rich document into a visually appealing, readable, and mission-aligned report that would resonate with global stakeholders—including policy makers, donors, and environmental experts.
Transform a large volume of policy-driven text and raw data into a visually coherent and brand-aligned annual report. Key content types included:
Multi-section narrative content (project overviews, partner stories, financials)
Charts, graphs, and data summaries
High-quality imagery from fieldwork and marine ecosystems
Designed exclusively for digital distribution (PDF) with optimized readability across screen sizes
Set up a streamlined review process to support asynchronous feedback from stakeholders across UN agencies, private sector partners, and country representatives
